Work abroad

“I Want to Work Abroad”

A tweet I saw

“Can’t get the thought of quitting my job and going to work abroad out of my head “

And the reason it is interesting is because it was one of 20 That came up after a quick twitter search “work abroad”.
There are a lot of people who want to do this.

Something tells me that a lot of us want to escape from whatever we are doing. Maybe the weather is bad, our jobs are boring. Maybe we are low on money or we just need a change. Endless number of reasons leading to a very human desire: escape!
I could write all day about options for working abroad. I’ll do that.

But the question really worth looking into is “what pushes people to take that plunge?”
This topic reminds me of that day in Andalusia when we were all walking up the hill talking about ex partners. About four of us, from four different countries. We came to the conclusion that relationships brought each one of us to the same point.

Four people at the top of a mountain in Spain, realising we all had failed relationships to thank.

Sometimes we need a jolt to make us do what we probably should of done sooner. lets be more in touch with the fact that we only have one shot at this.

I'm a Carpenter from New Zealand. I completed a Carpentry apprenticeship and decided to build something on every continent. I started this blog so I could share the journey with people!
