At first I thought I would write about the beauty of Gdansk. Instead here are some photos, see it for yourself!

One of the many picturesque streets of Gdansk, ending with Europe’s largest brick church.

For 6 zlotys you can climb up the inside of the church tower

The buildings in Gdansk are incredible

The unusually shaped building is the Zuraw Crane. Built between 1442 and 1444 the crane hangs over the river where it was used to erect ship masts. The crane was powered by men walking inside the two large internal wheels. apparently it is still in working order!

The main road of the old town. Ending with the golden gate. Napoleon himself liked the gate so much that he tried to have packed up and taken to Paris.

The ceiling of an old printing house – turned cafe. Appropriately named Drukarnia. We had coffee here regularly. Really friendly people!
