The Money Cushion

Recently I have had to deal with have a very thin money cushion, offering little comfort.
The Money Cushion is cash you have to fall back on when shit hits the fan.

No work? – fall back on the money cushion
Lifestyle change? – fall back on the cushion
Fines, accidents? – cushion

As the cushion loses layers it hurts more when you fall.

The more cash you have

The thicker the cushion
The softer the fall.

If you rely too much on the money cushion, however, there is a danger of not taking risks. Not working hard enough to get what you want.
While resting with a thick comforting cushion – why bother getting up?

Comfort can take away a persons drive; With your back against the wall and no cushion to support you – you have little choice.
Set up the cushion, but work like it isn’t there.
