Outside My Window: Kathmandu

A view typical of the hastily built apartment blocks of Kathmandu. the first buildings I noticed as my plane landed. Wether built quickly out of efficiency or low standards, I cannot pretend to know. This view shows the slapped together brickwork and masonry that I’ve seen all throughout Nepal so far. What the picture dos’nt  show is the constant noise of motorcycle and Suzuki taxi traffic typical of Thamel – The tourist epicentre that I’m looking forward to leaving behind.

I'm a Carpenter from New Zealand. I completed a Carpentry apprenticeship and decided to build something on every continent. I started this blog so I could share the journey with people!
